Oh, Eight.

by schmae on Aug.09, 2008, under Rest of the Junk

So today’s the day. The “most auspicious” day of the year. Haha, sure. (I say that with full enthusiasm really. :p)

The eighth day of the month, the eighth month of the year, the eight year of the century. And Hwei Ming’s celebrating it on Redang Island with his family. So fun, right! Why does he keep saying he’s bored there, I have zilch idea lah. I want beach also cannot okay, you youu youuuu! Pfft.

K lah. Let ME tell YOU how I spent MY oh-eight-oh-eight-oh-eight wtf.

1. Had a bitch of a gastric attack in the morning.

2. Got caught in a one-hour jam while heading to a friend’s party when it should have very well taken only 20 minutes.

3. Missed the first half hour of the Olympics’ opening ceremony.

I hate you, Hwei. >(

I want to be island-hopping right now. I want to feel the sand between my stumpy toes. I want the sea breeze to dance on my cheeks and through my hair. I want to drink coconut water and stare at couples during their initimate moments so that they’ll feel awkward and walk away. I want I want I want!

But kenot. Haih.

So you better be enjoying yourself there! Please ah! Haha. Oh, and I sayang you k? You owe me sand by the way. Hee. :)

This post was brought to you by Schmae.

A geeky kind of way.

by Hwei Ming on Aug.04, 2008, under Rest of the Junk

Correct me if I’m wrong, girls these days, are getting smarter and before you know it, they’ll outsmart any guy that comes in their way. A nightmare, definitely.

However, sometimes, it’s got to have a partner smarter than you. Isn’t that concept widely acceptable? Says you? Hear me out a moment. Just last year, when I was back at Victoria Institution for their Charity Day, I was stuck by a fact that, one of my teacher, actually stop pursuing her dreams of getting a masters in physic, because she was going to marry a guy that had only a simple degree. The reason she gave me,”I didn’t want my husband to feel dumber than me. He may look like he don’t mind, but deep down in him, I know..” It was one of the sweetest words I’ve ever heard coming out of a teacher’s mouth, and also kind of dumb. It was like, DE JA VU…

I thought things like these don’t happen anymore. I thought people are more open minded now.

So, I continued the little happy but weird kind of way talk, this time, with a few of my school mates. I was shock! They too totally agreed with my teacher.. Am I weird?

My first girl friend, Jue Nee, was one of the top student in her school. President of Maths and Science Club, a prefect and a well known figure. On the other hand, I was a president too, I was a prefect too, and, lets just say, I was just smart but lazy… *smiles*

And, seriously, I find it no trouble at all. I’m totally fine with it. SPM, she got all As, one of the few top students in Kuala Lumpur, and I’m still very fine with it. In fact, I’m very proud of her. All that courtship and activities, she still manages to maintain such spectacular results.

Lets not boil into my relationship too much alright.

Anyway, the bottom line is, is having a partner smarter than you wrong?

My sister’s says, she would like a guy to be as smart as she is, or smarter. But, is it alright to sacrifice your knowledge for the sack of someone you love like what happened to my physic teacher?

Is it a must for you to have someone smarter or dumber? Is it a must for you to have someone who earn more or less than you?

If you ask me, it totally doesn’t matter.

“Geeks are sometimes hot, and, look at the bright side, at least you don’t have to explain stuff when you are in the mood.”

Thank You.

by Hwei Ming on Aug.04, 2008, under Daily Rants

  1. I shall not shall start planning my studies in Manchester
  2. I shall not shall start reading up from where I left
  3. I shall shall not fall in love in Malaysia right now. :p
  4. I will try will try not to fall in love in Manchester later. :px2
  5. I shall not shall treat people with more respect
  6. I shall not shall love my parents more
  7. I should must be more patient
  8. I shall shall not spend more before I fly off
  9. I shall not shall bully my maid more before I fly off. :P x3
  10. I shall not shall start reliving my dreams

Fuah… Hahahaha….

Plugging in my ear phone to block out the world, head banging on loud music like some psychotic weirdo. Jumping up and down to feel what is it like to fly. Turning anti-clock wise to slow down time. Staring at my anatomy and physiology book.

Hwei Ming thought,” Boy, I’ve never felt such crazy mix of romeo, nerd, geek, and coolness.”

Peace One Day

by Hwei Ming on Aug.02, 2008, under Rest of the Junk

You might be in the military, you might in the arm police forces. But think about it. Are your actions improving the situation or just making it worst?

You might be a member of a terrorist group, you might be Osama Bin Laden for all I care. But think about it. Are your actions going to justified one day?

You can have the biggest bomb in the world, you can have the biggest water cannon in town. But think about it. Is it necessary?

Has all your beating, spraying, pushing, shouting and kicking paid off?

Or, you are still getting paid the same if you haven’t start beating, spraying, pushing, shouting and kicking?

You be the answer. I’ll help supply you with some facts that might help you decide.

So, you wanna disperse a crowd whom happens to live in that area you have jurisdiction. Use violence and make him run. At the end of the day, you win but you do know that you own a jurisdiction to a town that has nobody.

Are you expecting me to talk on war on terror? No way. Because, my own country also not at peace. I rather fix it first before I talk international.

Anyway, I’m writing this in the event of Peace One Day this coming 21 September. I’m helping spreading some good news instead of some blogger who rather spread rumors and news on blog war. What a shame to society.

I am a peacemaker, are you?
