The Autumn Qurban
by Hwei Ming on Oct.19, 2008, under Daily Rants
Its autumn here in Manchester, my love.
Trees are turning yellow like they use to. Days are getting colder like the weather man says.

Days are getting shorter, sun light getting dimmer. Clouds everywhere, whenever…

Leaf are falling down, tress bare naked to be harass by the cold.

But, we still have to “tutup aurat” for Qurban in Autumn… >.<
THIS is MY Selamat Hari Raya Post!

I know its a little late, but nothing is too late in my case.
Hari Raya comes and go as it please, but I know, this ketupat that I’m going to eat, will stay in me, well, at least till I shit it all out, the following day.

Nenek kebayan cutting the Ketupat, reminds me of Nenek Kebayan I use to tell my friends in Genting. Freaky.

So many Malaysian in Manchester, just like never leave home.

Jalur Gemilang was everywhere, but some Malaysian here don’t even know how to sing out national anthem.

Nasi Minyak was definitely there, to say “good bye arteries!!”

Before food was served, as usual, Malaysian and free food results in Major Crowd.

I really respect the chef for the lamb when BAD soon after, and almost everyone got stomach ache.
Funny, I only felt a slide pain in my stomach.
And thats, HARI RAYA FOR ME, 6600miles away in Manchester.

With all the kambing and lembu in the world,
Selamat Hari Raya Aidifitri! ( I hope i got it right)
Cheshire Oaks: Shopping Spree!!
by Hwei Ming on Oct.07, 2008, under Daily Rants
I joined the Malaysian Society the other day on a shopping expedition to Cheshire Oaks. Apparently, you can get good stuffs there for a very good price. Well, not too sure about the conversion rate. Parents are sure gonna make a big deal out of it, but well, no regrets because it’s still shopping, and I’m in dying need for some retail therapy.

Met the usual bunch (gonna blog about them once I get a whole picture of them) at student union in the blistering cold. Waiting for the bus to come. Thank god, it did not rain.

Reached there in about an hour’s drive. Came down all excited for my shopping voyage paradise.

There, you can get branded outlets where, your papa and your mama and most probably your grandpapa and grandmama would advise you not to go.
But….. being 6600 miles away… Who cares!! >.<

After all that shopping, which I wish not to disclosed because of personal reason. Hehehe…
Went to Costa Coffee and broke my long made commitment. No, I did not lose my virginity in Costa Coffee’s toilet even if I had any, but yes, after not drinking coffee for so long, I finally indulged myself in Mocha.
Oh well, then after that, headed back to the usual routine. Which is to spend money, eat and study. Awesomely no life here. Oh yea, not to forget, Skyping!

Well, that’s all for now folks!!
Wanna thank my sister for the wonderful company and all the goodies..
and someone which is sitting in font of me right now, READING!!
Life is awesome like that!
Whitworth: Sing K!
by Hwei Ming on Sep.27, 2008, under Rest of the Junk
Firstly, I would like to apologize, no pictures for this post.
I am NOT, repeat, NOT gonna bring my camera into clubs bar or anything equalevant to that.
Sorry…
Anyway, it was Karaoeke Night for my Hall of Residences and my flatmates wanted to go so badly. There were so determine to go up on stage and sing.
“4 pines of beer and a shot of Vodka, I’m sure we can sing what ever songs that comes our way..”
@.@… They actually when to Groove Bar (The Bar in my Hall of Residences) at 9 and started to get themselves prepared. -_-…
By 11, I was too tired and well, i head back to bed.
But, what I want to say here is, Sing K here and Sing K back at home is so different. Here, there is no such thing as private room or what so ever. There is only a stage and microphones so you will be seeing infront of everyone. And when you are singing, it involves everyone, from the bar tender, customer right to the people who is manning the PA system. Everyone was singing along loud and happy. Nobody cares who you are, everybody sings. Well, might just be because they are all drunk.. so… yea… -_-..
One particular song that had me singing all night long…
Enjoy!!
The Countdown
by Hwei Ming on Aug.17, 2008, under Daily Rants
Can you imagine, 1 more month. 1 more more till,
“Departing: Kuala Lumpur(KUL – Kuala Lumpur Intl Terminal M) on Wed, 17 Sep 2008, 2145 hrs”
31 more days left to die in Malaysia.
744 short needle movement.
44,640 minutes to make 714,240 more breaths in Malaysia which is equal to a total of 535,680 liters of Malaysia’s breathable air.
2,678,400 seconds to make 14,096,842.11 reactions with my 100 billion neurons and 100 trillion sysnapses in brain to tell me, how much I am going miss you dearly when I’m gone.
31 unwanted mornings.
30 sleepless nights.
90 tasteless meals.
and,
3,593,520 unwilling heart beats.
There is no such things as “limitless” in my dictionary anymore when it comes to you, expect for my never ending prayer for your forgiveness, your love, your safety and, forever and ever your happiness.
It is because when it comes between me and you, within me, its all about you.
Life is complicated I know, sometimes, we do stuff we only understood so far. The rest was left to the receiving end to decide.
Anyway, for the past few days, or maybe weeks, I’ve been totally put off on everything that comes to me. I have started swearing again. Showing signs of ignorance.
This isn’t who I am.
And, I’m sorry.
It shall be a new start for me in Manchester, and I shall make it my happy ending for me in Malaysia.
